This list contains all the major Elastica events we could think of. We've included all the record releases, major events and hopefully nearly all the gig dates, although there are probably still plenty of early 93-94 ones missing. If you're using a newer browser gig dates will appear in green.

If you can think of anything that could be usefully added to this list or you've seen something here that is wrong, please let us know...

This page is still a bit experimental but it should hopefully work with all browsers.

Note: The list starts with the most recent dates and works its way backwards.


28th December: A Love Like Ours is released as part of Volume 17.
6th November: Justine plays in Susan Stenger's supergroup The Brood at the American Independents Festival at London's South Bank.

22nd July: Sheila Chipperfield is officially revealed as Elastica's new permanent bass player.
19th May: Justin joins the Pulp team for a music industry six-a-side football tournament at London's Mile End stadium. Meanwhile Justine is in Cannes for the screening of Trainspotting.
May: Line Up released - Australia.

10th April: Justin plays drums with Pulp on the David Letterman Show show while Nick Banks is at home getting ready for his wedding.
March: Start demoing new material. Dave Bush joins up as the new keyboard player. The band also spend time in France writing some new songs.

9th January: Donna moves into a flat in Royal College Street, Camden, with Jane Oliver. This house becomes Elastica HQ.

1992

30th November: The band record three tracks in three days in 16 track room with in-house engineer Marc Waterman. Tracks are Line Up / Vaseline / Spastica. This version of Line Up is later released as a single.
October: The band rehearses, under the name Vaseline. Mike Smith from EMI Publishing offers the band three days demo time at EMI demo studio in Rathbone Place.
29th September: Donna joins band.
15th September: Donna moves to London and answers advert.
August: Melody Maker ad appears:
Guitarist wanted, influences the Fall, the Stranglers, Wire.
July: The band rehearse as a three piece, but gradually decide to try to find a fourth member to play guitar.
23rd June: Annie borrows a mate's bass and arrives for an audition.
June: Justin and Justine begin jamming together at the Premises Rehearsal Studio on the Hackney Road. Damon comes along to play the bass guitar.
