Just when you thought Elastica had disappeared for good here's a short note from Sheila describing what the band have been up to over the past couple of months...

"What have we been doing eh? Well we've been in the studio, drinking tea and watching telly since November with the lovely Mr Alan Moulder. It's all going really well + hopefully it should be out by the end of summer."

"Right now, we're mixing what we've already done at 'The Church' studios and going out partying in the meantime. I got to sing on a couple of tracks as well and its all sounding ace so I'm quite excited about it all."

"I'm sick of bands saying it's boring in the studio, we're having a laugh in ours. Maybe it's the air conditioning... Maybe it's 'cos me + Dave sneak out to the Pub over the road. Who knows."

"There's a couple of songs you can get hold of now. One is the evening session version of 'Love like ours' on the 'Volume 17' CD and the other is 'The unheard music', our Malkmus/Elastica duet on the 'Suburbia' soundtrack. Actually I'm not sure if you can get 'Suburbia' yet. oh, I don't know. We'll probably do some festivals as well so look out for us. But until then we're staying in our smoke filled studio, playing loud music."
