Elastica have finally ended their search for a permanent bassist to replace Annie. After searching long and hard, and after countless auditions Sheila finally got the nod earlier this year. She has not played seriously in a band before, but this doesn't seem to have posed a problem.

The story goes that Sheila thought of auditioning but couldn't muster up enough courage to actually go through with it. Her twin sister then ran into Donna in the toilets at a Rage Against The Machine gig and mentioned that Sheila was interested in auditioning for the bass player vacancy. Donna gave Sheila's sister her phone number and Sheila eventually did her audition in Donna's flat.

Sheila is a member of Chipperfield family who are big in the Fun Fair and Circus business. Sheila's side of the family run the Fairs, while her cousins look after the Circus.
