From Los Angeles(?). Having previously performed with a number of groups including Beck and Mommy, Abby initially joined Elastica as temporary bass player on the second half of the Lollaplooza '95 tour. This was as a replacement for Annie who had left the group after the Feile Festival concert in August. The arrangement was extended to cover the subsequent US tour and the Big Day Out dates in Australia and New Zealand in early 1996. Abby and the rest of the band evidently got on like a house on fire and it was rumoured that she would be joining the band full time. There was just the small matter of her living on a different continent to the rest of Elastica!

Despite announcements saying that she was to become Elastica's permanent bassist, Abby left after the end of the Big Day Out tour and is now back to working with Mommy.
